A Joyful Spring Wedding at Southern C’s Farm | Trudy + IV

On a gorgeous spring day—April 25, 2025—Trudy and IV began the newest chapter of their lives together as husband and wife at the stunning Southern C’s Farm in Summerfield, North Carolina. With a landscape full of blooming greenery, peaceful lakeside views, and golden light that seemed made for them, their day was nothing short of magical. Southern C’s Farm, spanning 127 acres of meadows, pastures, and lake views, offers a customizable outdoor wedding experience. The venue features covered outdoor seating in The Pavilion and diverse ceremony sites, accommodating up to 200 guests. Managed by Pepper Moon Catering, renowned as one of Greensboro NC’s premier catering partners, the farm provides a seamless blend of rustic charm and modern amenities. Nestled in the serene countryside, Southern C’s Farm provided the perfect backdrop for Trudy and IV’s wedding day—a celebration of love, nature, and timeless elegance.

Trudy began her day in the beautifully appointed Bridal Suite at The Lodge, featuring a full four-piece washroom and a large walk-in closet. The suite offered a tranquil space for her and her bridal party to prepare, with plenty of room for photographs and a full-length mirror for getting ready. IV and his groomsmen gathered at The Huntbox, a charming space on the property, where they shared laughs and moments of camaraderie before the ceremony.

From the very beginning, this wedding was centered in intentionality and love. Before the ceremony, Trudy and IV shared a quiet, sacred moment together—taking communion and exchanging private, tear-filled vows. It was a deeply emotional and spiritual beginning that set the tone for the rest of the day.

The couple exchanged vows in a picturesque ceremony, with the lake and lush greenery serving as a stunning backdrop. Guests were captivated by the natural beauty surrounding them, making the moment even more memorable. Their ceremony was heartfelt and beautifully unique, including a moving foot-washing ritual that symbolized the depth of their devotion and humility toward one another. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, you could feel the support and joy that blanketed the entire farm.

After their “I do’s,” the celebration continued with some of the most stunning husband and wife portraits I’ve seen—wandering through sun-soaked fields, under weeping trees, and around the peaceful lake. Southern C’s Farm offered the perfect variety of backdrops that made their love story come to life in every image.

Guests enjoyed a reception at The Pavilion, where they dined and danced under the stars. The space provided an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere, perfect for celebrating the newlyweds.As the sun began to dip, guests were treated to a fun and relaxed reception complete with an ice cream truck—yes, the ultimate dessert win—and a night full of dancing, laughter, and celebration. It all ended in the most whimsical bubble exit that perfectly captured the lightness and joy of their love.

This was a wedding day that I wasn’t able to photograph myself, but my associate team did an incredible job capturing every special detail. I couldn’t be more proud of how beautifully they told Trudy and IV’s story through their lens. I was lucky enough to work with this amazing couple on such a special journey in their lives. We took engagement portraits in the beautiful flower fields at Harmon Family Farm in Trinity, NC. We took Trudy's bridal portraits at her beautiful wedding venue about two months before the wedding day, which I will also include photos of. It was a day full of love, emotion, celebration, and beauty—and now, unforgettable memories.
