PREPARING AHEAD OF TIME FOR YOUR PORTRAITS...

  • Contact and plan with your photographer early on! In order to match up schedules and give yourself plenty of time to prep, contact your photographer at least 3 to 6 months before you would like your images to be delivered to you!
  • Plan to get a manicure, pedicure, and optional spray tan if you desire it!
  • Get into the right mindset! Talk to your photographer about being more comfortable in from of the camera. Remember that boudoir portraits are made to accentuate your beauty and embrace your flaws.
  • Take time to pick out your outfits! This is important. You want an abundance of time to shop, try on, and wash your outfits. Wearing your outfits before your session gives you time to become more comfortable in them as well!
  • Talk to your photographer about adding on hair and makeup before your session if you desire it!
  • What's the most important... relax and let loose!!!

WHAT TO BRING ON THE DAY OF...

  • Two to three outfit options! You can talk to your photographer ahead of time about what will be best for you and your photos!
  • If you are getting your hair and makeup done - bring a snack and a drink! The last thing we want is for you to be hungry or lightheaded.
  • Plenty of accessories! Jewelry, extra outfit pieces like robes or shoes, or even optional hair pieces.

Ask your photographer what outfits or accessories they provide!!!

WHAT TO DO ON THE DAY OF...

  • Leading up to the day of your boudoir session, hydrate, hydrate, and hydrate more!!! Plenty of water does wonders for your skin and helps you feel great.
  • Be sure to moisturize your skin thoroughly on the day of and the week leading up to your portrait session!
  • Wear loose fitting garments! Avoid anything tight that will leave impressions on your skin. I recommend loose t shirts and sweatpants.
  • Eat light foods that will not cause bloating.
  • Arrive early to your session!!! Reduce your anxiety and stress by avoiding being late.

NO MATTER WHAT...

Remember to enjoy this amazing, fun experience. Celebrate your body and your beauty! God made us all unique and incredible. Your photographer is there to bring you guidance and comfort in your own skin.
